Sophie graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a BDE's Honours in textile design. She loves to take a fabric and completely alter and manipulate its appearance so that it almost bares no resemblence to its orignal state. She then layers and constructs with the fabric, often incorporating wire between the layers to enable a structural form to develop.

Drawing and sketching play a major role in her creative process and the inspiration for her textile work can be traced back to her sketchbooks.

Sophie's work is bold, structured and presents an interesting balance between an organic and manufactured aesthetic.
